On the eve of his high school graduation, Will Kidman finally looks up from his books to catch the eye of the girl he’s longed for the last four years – the mysterious Eliana Wynter. He’s always been the shy kid, flying under the radar, but when he discovers a dark secret from his past – that he is heir to a powerful line of werewolves – he finds he has a choice to make between succumbing to his primal nature, or turning against his own, and maintaining his humanity. In order to fight the destiny of his legacy, and save Eliana – as well as himself – he must battle not only his growing blood lust but an army of fearsome beasts bent on killing him, Eliana…and then, us all.

Film ini sepertinya menambah panjang deretan film horror yang mencoba mengekor kesuksesan seri Twilight tapi gagal total. Ide cerita sih boleh (baca sinopsis), tapi skrip dialog dan eksekusi adegan sangat membosankan. Belum ditambah dengan efek visual yang garing serta karakter utamanya yang mirip banget ama Harry Porter. Padahal jika digarap dengan lebih serius, The Howling: Reborn sepertinya berpotensi untuk sukses. Terutama pada adegan pertarungan antar werewolf. Sayangnya adegan yang semestinya bisa terlihat seru dan keren ini malah lagi-lagi terlihat membosankan.
Oh ya, sekedar informasi, film ini adalah bagian dari franchise film Howling. Sayang saya belum pernah menonton seri-seri sebelumnya sehingga tidak bisa membandingkannya dengan yang satu ini. But for now, let’s just skip this movie so you don’t have to waste your time…
